"All times’ favourite..."
Kaþ, ancient Antiphellus, is one of the most
distinguished resorts in Antalya region. In antiquity,
it was the pupil of the eye of Lycia, with Simena and
Patara stretching on its either side just like arms open
wide to embrace the Mediterranean. In spite of its never
diminishing fame and prosperity, people of Kaþ have
always managed to keep their city’s modest but dignified
atmosphere.
Kaþ means eyebrow in Turkish and the
town was called with such a name due to its geography.
The bay curves like an eyebrow over the Greek island of
Meis, which, so the locals tell, means “eye” in Greek.
The marina brings many visitors to Kaþ. The sea
is the most enjoyable way to travel in anywhere in the
region. The coastal road between Antalya and Dalaman may
be a difficult task for those who haven’t experienced
Turkish traffic yet.
Do not plan a daily visit
to Kaþ. Not because of the distance and the ride, but
because you will never be able to discover Kaþ in such a
short time. Once you are there, the excellent climate
and the restful atmosphere will make you forget about
the rest of the world... |
